 About the Author

R. Michael Wilson has been researching the Old West for fifteen years, after retiring as a law enforcement officer in Southern California for a quarter century. He earned an Associate Degree in Police Science, a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology, a Master’s Degree in Public Administration, and Dr. Wilson earned his Juris Doctorate degree in 1983. In 2005 he had five history books to his credit, all in his area of interest and expertise – crime and punishment in America’s early west. His works represent his research philosophy: “The truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.” The author is an active member of the National Outlaw Lawman Association [NOLA] and Western Writers of America [WWA].
